Spontaneous !!!!

I have no purpose writing this post but the uncontrollable urge in me to talk make me create this masterpiece. My colleague is on leave since last 15 days...ufff...why do people need so long break. Well he took it because of wedding...yes, his first and last (you can assume) making me sit alone in this dull isolated Accounts Section. Without any one to comment on whatever i do, pouring our heart out at a single touch at aching nerve, cursing HR guyz, commanding peons  work is no FUN...

So what if we are not assigned it to gain pleasure or to get entertained, i firmly believe in enjoying first and working later.

Since he is on leave, his work is also delegated to some other guy. First i got happy, after all what is better than some one occupying the seat next to me and in no time i realized that i am exposed to overconfident ready-to-boss-around material. He was new to this work but the next very day he warned that "Jo b kaam ho 12 baje se pehle puch lena us k baad meein phone switch off kar dunga" before going for a leave. And we all looked at him with What-would-happen-without-you-around and laughed heartily after he left. He still keep instructing subordinates giving them each minute details despite of the sarcasm they frequently throw at his face. Poor Fellow...sigh. He even tried to guide me with his not-so-helpful-gyaan on banks, interest rates, taxes (after knowing i have a specialization in all this) to which i reacted "Talk to my Hand" and thankfully he receded.

From tomorrow onward even i ll go on a week's leave. Yes, m off to Jodhpur-Jaisalmer with my BFF. Her resignation triggered this trip and i endlessly thank her for this. Before you all do any of "Aaahh, uuhhh, eeehhhh, R u nuts" kinda things let me tell you we both are aware of rising mercury and yet, we dare to see the Thar. Don't know how well this trip will turn out but i am longing to have girlie-giggles, endless chit chat and loads to eat.

At the romantic front, Me and tanmay sneaks out time once in every week for a long night call and it makes me go mushy every single time :) while late evenings are spent talking the usual routine.

This is how life is moving ahead and i have no complaints (happens rare) except for wishing an early arrival of my colleague coz it will not only lighten my responsibility but also provide a glint to this room with his newly-wed-stories.

An unbroken Promise

She could not help her eyes to pour. Endless cue of tears make her face crimson. The same color which made Amit fall for her in college. Her Crimson suit, which she still possess. Her journey of life flashed before her eyes like never before. Her evening walks with amit in college campus, mild persuasions to let her go early, sharing plate in canteen always, tennis matches and he cheering her......

After graduating and amit getting a decently paid job they decided to get together forever. Her parents, who always favored, encouraged and respected every decision of their independent daughter raised no question on her choice followed by amit's parents simply nodding for their marriage. "They will never approve at once, i knew this. They are not educated neera, they dont understand our love, for them marriage simply means my auction like every other boy is subjected to in Haryana. But you dont worry, I know u ll make them proud of my choice some day."...said Amit hugging her.

And that some day came soon after her first visit to their home in Akleempur (a village near Gurgaon). Amit's mother smiled after savoring the delicacies she prepared while father was won over by reading out the newspaper aloud. Bhaiya Bhabhi were already impressed by her charm. They came back to gurgaon after their short visit with a promise to come often.

Last year, phone rang early morning and they were summoned to akleempur. Wondering what has happened they both obeyed. On arriving, they saw bhabhi mourning in torn saree at the entrance clenching door. Neera picked her up, wiped her tears while amit went inside. What bhabhi told neera was ghastly. Bhaiya was forced to remarry because bhabhi could not give them a child to run the family further. Soon after bhaiya came out. He held bhabhi's hand to drive her out. She begged and he slapped. Amit watched this mutely while Neera's efforts surrendered before a 6" feet haryanavi.

On way back to Gurgaon, Neera broke the silence by questioning Amit's behaviour to which he justified his family's decision by saying "Aisa he hota h yaha" and neera was stunned...lifeless...Bhabhi gave up to humiliations and insults so left by her choice and bhaiya went on his honeymoon soon after.

Amit's parents always blessed her to beget a Baby boy to which she falsely smiled. Amit has been always been busy with his overseas clients and they gradually moved from rented 1 room flat to their own 3 bedroom flat. It was then they thought of creating a family. Amit hasn't paid attention to their failed copulation but she doubted it after every lovemaking. She finally went for tests and reality strikes her harder. "Anovulatory Infertility" report declared. Her nightmare has come true. A chill went through her nerves and she was dumbstruck. Amit and his family revolved around her eyes.

"Kya isi din k liye laye the tujhe", "Teri buri nazar kisi aur ko na lag jaye" echoed from everywhere....

It was her loss but she mourned more for what awaits her. How will she confront all this. Confident and careless neera has disappeared somewhere. Another victim of Male Dominance is in cue. Her depression gets deeper with every hour going. Amit will come soon. She stood up to come to window. The Gulmohar outside is blossoming with all its might.

I ll leave my Gulmohar soon- she thought. His strong arms will no longer hold me close to him.

Neera ?? You are here. I called you so many times but you didn't respond - Amit come announcing. She turns to face him. Oh he has already picked up the report. Amit read every word of the curse destiny has inflicted upon her. He looked up and come to Neera. She was out of her breath due to continuous crying. Within no time, he hugged her. Just like he did while promising a life long bond to her. Yes, she can tell that it contains the same love, devotion and honesty. She looked up to him, he plants a kiss on her forehead and says "Aj mausam accha h, Chalo kahi Ghumne Chale...aur haan wahi wala suit pehen na..." with a smile.

The Gulmohar see her rejoicing while she notices its budding flowers...

(This is a fiction work inspired by frequent cases of abandoning wives which happens in Haryana usually. I wish the mentality of bringing a DIL and treating her with love and respect, stops being associated with her ability to bear children.)

Kho gya h jane kyn kahi
waada to tha k na hoga ye kabhi
kashti sa jata wo waada bhi ab to yaad aata nhi

intezaar bhi ab dustak nhi deta darwaze pe
mein he baithi hu ke pura kr jaye wo
apna adhoora waada kabhi....

Growing Help-Less-Ness

We often come across some generous helping hands at home, work place, restaurants and many other places. These hands lend their skills and compliment our lives. Just imagine a day when maid doesn't come without prior intimation (of corse, its there birth right), the day is spent witnessing mom's tantrums in silence. Now before u guys decide to leave my Lazy Sunday Post unread let me assure that i am not gonna narrate a so-very-common-scene of every household. This post is dedicated to some innocent faces who in the name of "Helping Hands" harass us to hell.....

Yes, we have a brigade comprising six helping hands at my work place who are paid to sit idle and gossip endlessly. Fearless fellows i must say and i admire them for this. Their unusually annoying and sometimes funny activities have urged me to mention their names in BLACK (Golden not available) words.

1. The Supervisor-Manish

Hai na Isstyleee boss...
He is the oldest of all and thus he is the BOSS. He calls himself supervisor and so just do so.
No Work, No Play, Only Chat is his mantra to survive and Kudos to him for this.
He is seen either talking on phone or pricking the other two with a pin. Yesss thats how he spends his day at office.
You will often see him getting numb whenever whereabouts of any file or papers is asked. At times he even misplace couriers.
The files visible by his side are left at his mercy to be arranged and look how well are they treated guuurrrrr.....
I wonder if he does believe in Gandhi g's principles and may be that's why he wont answer anything asked leaving me wide eyed-open mouth.
Have heard about him being a regular visitor to Jaipur's Red Light Area...Ahem ahem (with my eyes rolling)

2. Most dedicated disciple-Chand

Don't go at his smiling appearance coz it's the only thing he does-whenever asked, scolded, showered with harsh words/Gaali or any other random thing.
Sources say that he dances with the mop in hand while singing "Chand si Mehbooba ho meri......"
Don't let your sense of humor betray you if you listen "Madam aapke liye to chand ki jaan b haazir h" whenever you asks requests him to do something.
He moves around with an open offer to sell his kidney for a daily income of Rs. 20/- throughout his life.
His guts allow him to come office drunk (yes, he has done this)...Bravo !!!!
"Jarda" (tobacco) is his favorite snack. On forcing him to leave it he replies - Sir chahe office se nikal do lekin ye nhi chut skta (sir you can expel me from office but i cant leave eating this)...habits...SIGH

3. Office ka Don Kaun-Shubham

Our local gunda...hafta vasooli, dhamki, maar-pitai u say it and he has it.
Manish and Chand blindly follows his words...after all Don ki baat kon taal skta h
Drives the office vehicle and has been a culprit of threatening staff by moving the speedometer to its right, sharp cuts, ignoring traffic lights, not wearing seat belt and every other possible action to establish his Herogiri.
Always boisterous of his Casanova image numbering his Girlfriends.

These three Dabangs are of their own kind and i really wish so because having them as a helping hand needs tons of courage to deal with.

....and yeah they daily read see English newspaper thoroughly and on asking as to do they understood anything they reply - Bus accha lgta h....

PS :They all have their FB accounts so if wanna know them better you can be friends with them.

To fir...Kaise na ho "Umeedein"

duniya hai kayam jis par
saath de jo har mushkil waqt par
din si chadti, chand si ghat ti
rahe umeed saath mein har pal

khud se karo to himmat badhaye
karo dusro se na ise tum
kya khabar kub toot jaye
saath wahi tak rakho
jaha ye umeed jeevan path par aage badhaye

roko kitna bhi aane se ise
kone mein baith kahi ye
lukka chuppi sa khel dikhaye
aa kar bhi puri na ho kabhi
bina lagaye he puri ho jaye

socha krti hu hamesha
na lage ye umeed kabhi kisi se
lekin hai ye prakash kiran si
bina kahe he aa jaye

Na-umeedi ke sagar mein
chahe jitni pher lgaye
mann bhi prem vash ho premi sa
Umeed ke he saath jaye

My perfect road trip-To The City of Lakes

“WOAOOOO” I nearly screamed while munching my all-time-favorite snack. The car seems to collect all its wits after moving around at its axis across a blind curve. Hey Tanmay, this is not done yar. We have got whole day reserved for travel. What’s there to hurry ? I Complained.

He gave me his familiar I-Told-You-So if I am gonna drive, I gave up. “No use. I should have taken your warning seriously” I mumbled while he kept enjoying swinging the steering of our #Renault Duster.

Tanmay, my fiance is simply fond of his car and why not, after all its a precious possession we have which dig a deep hole in our pockets. Yes, mine and his both. Driving down to Udaipur from our hometown Jaipur was not a good idea suggested by every family member. But tanmay was keen upon not to hand over the steering to any other hand and I too didn't want anybody to invade our privacy in such a killing romantic weather. So, we set off to the city of Lakes bidding good bye to our ever enthusiastic family who have left no advice untold for a safe drive.

And look what he was up to as if he has bid farewell to all the safe drive tips. I would be partial if I ll keep blaming him for this, weather too called for a ZOOOOO-ZOOOOO-ING  ride in our Metallic Woodland Brown Beauty, splashing every thick and thin coming by our sides. I went on playing with the drops carelessly while he just couldn’t took his eyes off me.

I didn’t paid attention to the gentle drizzling turning into a heavy downpore, being lost in the thoughts of romancing at bank of #Fateh Sagar looking at the sun set. He pats me at my back and says “Kya hua ? Kaha ho ? Abi thoda time hai udaipur pahunchne mein” with a wink. (Hey What happened ? Where are you ? There is still more time to reach Udaipur). I just could not help and Blush While he could not resist and kiss me softly. Rain was getting heavy we decided to stop at the very first Dhaba which appeared.

Aahhh…the aroma of rains !!!!! It’s still alive and rejuvenates with every monsoon. Of coarse we didn't expect the dhaba wala to understand any of our Mocha, Cappuccino or Frappe so Coffee was ordered for both along with the flavor of Kulhar which was used to serve it. Only thought which kept visiting out minds was- Thank God we came for this trip otherwise we would have missed the much awaited togetherness …Rain God showed some mercy and we finally boarded our Beauty.

Moving on, the road looked like a coiled serpent. Getting narrow with every turn it took and I admired tanmay’s driving skills with every move wheels took.

Our destination was an hour away and Sun showed its presence. Ohhhh ab ye kyn ?- I uttered (Oh why this now ?)It meant we need to close our windows replacing the touch of cool breeze with the output of AC coolant. And to my surprise after savoring the musky aroma of wet sand #Ambi Pur didn’t disappointed us. Lavender soon cast its spell on us and the rest of the journey was spent humming the romantic tracks together.

In no time we reached Fateh Sagar and guess what

We were walking hands in hands looking at the setting sun……….

Some BAAGI UDAANEIN i wanna take off

I am certain about the  few sights and incidents which charge your nerves and it happens with me often. Some things whenever seen or felt leaves me bubbling with the increased rush of gushing adrenalin in my nerves. Feel of the falling rain is one of the source. How do i want to be like the drops falling freely and carelessly....As if the instructions of the rain god are-heard-to-be-forgotten and now they are the masters. The other source are the Bollywood Movies where the leads are seen wondering from city to city and how desperately i wish to be a NOMAD.....

Running, Walking, Falling, Jumping, Laughing, Travelling and doing every random thing which comes to my mind.....and the wishlist will keep growing.....

As for now my must-to-do list goes like this

Watching life in core of blue leaving me mesmerized....

Falling off a Staircase is done....A free fall, Thumping heart coming to mouth, Life taking a backseat and Courage vanishes at the verge of jumping off...

I wanna see the Sun up and close, rays getting scattered creating the hues

I wanna paint me BLUE out of every other BLUE...
Making Peace with WHITE

Aah here i am with all my heart out and believe it or not, its the best space to do it because

1. You don't call me "Chuhiya" (my friends do, provided my weak structure and endless running around with a confused look adoring my chand-sa-mukhda most of the time)

2. You haven't seen me justifying my sleepless nights with watching a Horror show/ hindi movie lets say Purana mandir.

3. You haven't persuaded me to go for a Roller Coaster Ride while i sulk mere at its sight.

The post is written after me watching YJHD which left me wondering about the "kiss of snow" and yesss the song "Baagi Udaan" has touched me inside....Do you have any to-do-list of your Baagi Udaan, please share.
