Say "I do"...

promise me a stronger you
when storm surrounds without a clue
ground is lost and blue is the hue
be by my side to break it through

promise me a touch so tender
close my eyes and let me wonder
you are the reason for everything splendor
stand on my feet and take a meander

promise me a day to ask
of shattering glows and all my gasps
days to come, those that pass
and the things which shall forever last

promise me a hut at height
shoes of snow that might bite
a fire place to lit every night
warm red blanket to make us hide
promise me a hearty laughter
for every call which you answer
a platter of joy and a novel banter
piles of life and fun to remember

Are you on the same journey ?

It has been quite a time when i updated my space. No doubt, i was busy seeking something. Ray of light in thick fog, a hard working day, moments of excellence, times of affection, challenging fears....and the list goes on. And it usually ends with the same - Seek and perhaps you will find. Then reality downs upon that you have been moving around the bush, there is no start and no end, most likely you ll arrive at the start after you finish. Next time, you would mark your beginning, sure of reaching your destination. Give a kick start to your journey promising a perfect finish to it. Thou keep moving on, delighting at the pleasure of be a master this time and it seems endless. You may come a long way without getting the aspired or may end up at the start mark realizing it to be the Best.

The search is never ending. Though it appears easy to some, the destinations sometimes just seems to deny an agreement with you. The comfort you seek turns out to be the most painful. A break from the run you want but sorry there is no time for it. Timeless it has to be. There are points where u want to stay, relax a bit and sip in to the fullest---before you think of it---a sinking feel of discontentment appears. And then, it starts again. There would be people who would want you back, hold you for ever, making a life with you, will make you skip a beat..you would stop, give a convincing smile, without losing a moment to move ahead, though craving for the offerings throughout life.

Today morning i happened to listen some of the lines -

Mere mann ye bata de tu, Kis or chala hai tu
Kya paya ni tune kya dhundh rha hai tu
Jo hai ankahi, jo hai ansuni, wo baat kya h bata
Mitva.....kahe dhadkane tjhse kya
Mitva.....ye khud se tu na to chupa

So true it is. May be not for all but for a major chunk. What do we seek..Once we get it, it no longer holds the same value, we take it for granted and set off for an undiscovered pleasure, continuous exploring steals the delight of sitting back for a while with what we have. Sometimes, our eyes just see the moments getting slipped while we stand pinned to the notions of yet to come. It looks as if there is no absolute happiness, everything is relative. Relative to what we had earlier, what we could and what everyone else has. It takes no long for us to let pass a small joyride. There are numerous assumptions and chances on which we rely forgetting the colors spread around. That is the reason probably why people liked movies like 3 idiots, taare zameen par  & ZNMD coz those 3 hours showcased the hidden and so obvious things which are almost forgotten. We love spending few hours with characters who enact "aware-of-every-felicity" but badly fails to follow the same. I wish we all could enjoy the only life we have to the fullest.

While everyone is eager to make life dance on their tune, try to move with the music of life and Believe me, you wont lose anything.

There are no thumb fight
Coffee mugs are no more alive
Where are the two who had it all
One is on tour, other on the call
even if they now sit together
Its's just investments which are talked about,
without a glance at the b'ful weather
rush they do for the targeted number
Early morning walks are now a blunder
though they fear to be alone
Still the love is rarely shown
come soon the day when they will miss
you, tea and the early morning kiss

Hello to all !!!

Bring more hellos and heyys for me
coz its a bye which takes you from me
year goes by and let it be
it's the lively faces i dread to flee

Bye leave a space behind
& hello makes a life refine
Grumps and cries, tears and whine
should be fed  hellos seeming kind

Bye is bleak pulls you in
A Stranger's hey leaves you charging
Bye turns rigid the more you cling
Hello arrives with a latent string

A bit of bye and a bash of hello
turns a life to a festive blow
Warmth and affection it brings along
I wave you a hello on a new dawn

It's Jingle everywhere

Having studied at a missionary school for the initial years of my schooling, every Christmas takes me back to those days. Perhaps because those were the best or i never saw any authentic Christmas celebration after that. I have seen it big and bright. Though i was never a part of any activity and even if i would have i don't remember it now, but i enjoyed the show being an attentive no-other-option spectator. The major activities which took place every year without fail were carol signing, enactment of birth of Jesus Christ, sweet distribution and probably few words from our principal highlighting the significance of the event. However, i never saw any Christmas tree adding to the flavor of air.

A carol which was recited every year in the over dramatic melodious voice was :

Silent night, Holy night
Birth of the holy light
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin , mother and child
Holy infant so, tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace,

Sleep in heavenly peace.

Silent night, Holy night
Shepherds quake, at the sight
Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly, hosts sing Hallelujah.
Christ the Savior is born,

Christ the Savior is born.
Santa Claus is coming around

Silent night, Holy night
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord at thy birth

Jesus, Lord at thy birth.

We, at that age were not that keen upon listening and watching the acts and used to get bored in no time. And nothing other than the sweet distribution used to get the excitement back. As far as i recall scratching my memory cells, the sweet appeared to be a distant relative of cup-cake closely resembling a sweet bun. Any how, it was quickly savored.

It used to be a usual day at home with my grand parents calling it "Bada Din". I was never make to believe Santa coming in a sleigh with a socks-full of goodies, through the chimney. In fact, i was never aware if any such belief exists. These days parents has chosen it as an eccentric way to showcase their love for kids. I longed for going to a Church throughout my childhood and the wish was full filled only when i was capable of going around alone. Yes, my parents never took me there.

These days a tall Christmas tree welcomes you at every mall in the city and i still watch it with a child-like curiosity. Nothing special is done by me on 25th except for visiting a church sometimes and donating some of ours old clothes to Mother Teresa house. Though, the feel of hoopla is still alive. For this year, i have planned to sit back comfortably in warm sunlight with a novel, relishing an elaborated meal. And of course, i am baking a cake today.

How do you all spend your Christmas ?

My everyday musings

Our so much time in a day is spent in wondering about our lives. How are things going on, how it should be, how desperately we want to change it, why do boss always grumble, When can i shop next :P, why do Aanandi cry (i guess her cries still sways some kind-hearts) and what not. A new thought every minute and that too a complete contrast with a previous one. Lets put it this way -

I wanna spend this new year at Goa---why is not getting cold by this time in jaipur---any ways, lets keep a pet---should i take a leave to relax at home---why is Hrithik-Sussanne getting seperated. (Just an example, please don't blame my mind)

Yeah, that is the way it is probably not in the same chronology. You might spend an age to find a chip of relevance using microscope but would end up empty handed, i bet. I suppose it happens with all. Our mind doesn't take rest and creates tons of clutter everyday. There are few things i ponder about daily. Some of these are :

Why do people give advises. Yes, at every least-expected time you would find them busting in your thought process. And mind you, they doesn't get affected by your "Whom-are-you-talking-to" looks. I think they have taken "Right to speak" way too seriously. No brownie points for guessing that i am a victim of this torture and i feel no remorse in giving up to such people.

There are some kinds who would delegate you a task saying "Uska jo wo hona tha naa wo jaldi krna, urgent h". Trust me, i was never good at algebra to find a solution of every X, Y, Z coming in my way. Its you who are supposed to tell me what "Uska, iska, wo, jo, ye..." is. I may master the art of reading minds but am an amateur still. Please pity me.

Why is it so that only stomachache, fever, diarrhea, cold... can get you an off from work to date your GF/BF. C'on guys, give it all a break. Bring out some creativity. Anyways, i admire an HR to accept all this non-sense every day with a smile smirk.

Some people are full of zeal for the event coming up next. It's good to be always high in spirit but i guess concurrence of "office hours getting over---beaming happy faces" explains it all. Many of my colleagues stop working at least half-an-hour before the scheduled time to leave, just in anticipation of going home. I do understand stress, tensions, boredom, waiting beautiful wife/GF, no work at all and all other obvious reasons yet i think a demonstration of that everyday is not a good sign. It's no more surprising for me watching a bunch of people gossiping during working hours just because a meeting is scheduled an hour later. So, what's the use of turning on the systems even....sigh

Why do mamma ask us every morning about what to cook for lunch when she has already decided it. I guess she wanna listen the same as she thought. Again, i can't read minds mom and yeah be thankful for me being not a vampire.

Why do some of us can't help a smile even if they are awarded a "Bharat Ratna" while some can't let it go off even after being charged for terrorist attacks.

So, these are few things which stuck my mind-chord daily. I know i cant stop these from happening or rather i dont want these things to stop. Why...ohh simple, i do not want my mind to rest. If not anything else, these are my regular doses of whinning.

P. S - Bharat Ratna and terrorist attacks are to be read/understood as getting tons of appreciation and being an accused of something shameful respectively.

Ten Things on Tuesday

Thanks giving passed without any words of gratitude from me. To make up for the loss of words then, there are few things/people i want to thank for.

1. My Parents who bought me up with love and care, exposing me to real life lessons at the same time subtly. They have inspired me to stay happy at every difficult day and rejoicing at every bit of "joy cookie".

2. Joint Family in which i was born and bought up in my budding years. I experienced many flashes of matchless fellowship and affection which developed the basic idea of "social" within me.

3. My BFF and husband-to-be. To be precise my first friend in pink city is ready to fill my life with "love pinks". Honestly speaking, life would have been dull without him being around. He is the one who first gets the worst out of me by his non-stop mocking and takes no time to cool me down with his sugar-coated version. I thank him for instilling a fight back spirit in me and marking each day with never ending love.

4. My Grandmother. She taught me to be stable and not to lose balance in adverse conditions. She is no more with us but we all appreciates her for facing every catastrophe daringly.

5. Choti-Amma. Yes, that's what we kids called her. She was SIL of my grandmother. Believe me, a darling she was. She doted her unconditional love and care on every new born of the family. Her home used to be the "living room" of our big family. I never found her alone, she was always surrounded by people. She taught me cooking (making tea, chapatis) and tried making Eclairs for me at home. Isn't it lovely.

6. Everyday meal. It may sound something which comes to us so naturally. Earlier i never cared but have understood its value lately. I thank for the plate full of nutritious meals given to me everyday.

7. Books. They have been a companion in the past, still are and will remain so till my last breath. Do i really need to write down what all i learned from them ?? The countless words i have read, written & understood till date is their legacy.

8. Google. Yes, it's my friend, guide, savior 24*7 at my disposal.

9. Jaipur-Pink City. Joypur it is, for me. Got so many attributes of life here. Education, Friends for life, my own space, lifestyle, fearlessness, independence is what all it gifted me. Exploring its every corner is still my preferred choice.

10. The divine energy. I sincerely believe in its existence. It shows me the right path and gets me what is best for me. My existence is given by him. I thank him for every new day given to me to forgive, forget and live an improved present.

For you....before you are old enough

Anu sat on a sofa with her share-of-me-time holding her coffee mug. Keeping the cup on table, she tried making a bun of her shiny silky hair which would in no time hang loose, just when she heard "Tera mujhse hai pehle ka naata koi...yun he nahi dil lubhata koi...". To her surprise it was Ria at the other end who was breathlessly announcing her arrival at home after an hour. Before she could ask anything, the phone went dead. "This girl is crazy. What is the need to come at weekend travelling so long. Impulsive, just like Swastik" - she grumbled. Provided it was Ria's visit, she reverted to her coffee mug knowing she wouldn't let her a moment of peace.

Ria's phone call made her revive her old days. Days of youth, energy, patience which was all spent in running after her adorable angel. Ria was a big time mischievous child who would often fool around people with her tricks. Whenever Anu tried giving her a handful, she was always stopped by Swastik. He did everything beyond proportions to make Ria a spoiled child. The only thing she resisted the most was - Eating. Making her eat was next to impossible for Anu alone. When dinner was managed by Anu and Swastik both, lunch was Anu's responsibility. Those were the times when she wished for a joint family. Ria used all her energy in running to each & every corner of her home leading Anu with a tired and puzzled look.

Things somehow changed with the arrival of Anu's parents. She got some time for her and Swastik when they could talk in peace while Ria used to play with her grandparents. Anu's father observed Ria's quick and curious responses at surprises and decided to put an end to everyday-run-around-parade. He took the plate in balcony and called Ria "Look what do i have in my plate beta. Have you ever seen something of bright red color. Guess what it is". Ria's response was as expected and thus this GUESS WHAT game became everyday scene. Time flew and she grew up to be the most lovable daughter.

She came to back to herself when door bell rang . Smiling, she approached the door to give her daughter a big hug. Maaa....Ria screamed as she saw her and no points for guessing Anu's eyes were already flooding. "Ufff maaa...you are still the same. Use these precious drops when i ll be married off" - said Ria. Anu went straight into the kitchen to make black tea - Ria's favorite. Anu turned back calling Ria to inform her father when she saw her with a Gift.

Guess What is it Maa - Ria said giving the packet to her. Anu opened it, saw and her beaming smile was back.

"For you maa...before you are old enough" - Ria said putting her arms around her best friend. Yes, Her mom.
